Attendance

To help reduce visitors in our front office and to help accommodate social distancing, we ask that early dismissals be completed as follows:

  • Please send an email or have your child drop off a note to the appropriate office the morning of the dismissal request. This will allow our secretaries time to process and have ready at the time requested.
  • Call the school at 703-583-3200. You will be directed to the appropriate alpha secretary. Please note that calls could delay the dismissal process due to call volume, scheduling, lunches, etc.
  • If you arrive at the school, please do not enter the building. Please call from your car.
  • Please do not submit requests for dismissals through ParentVUE, only full day absences.

Notes/email are the best way to ensure a smooth and organized dismissal for you and your child. Below are the secretary names, email addresses, and student assignments. Reference reference the regulation on early dismissals for more information.

To report an absence for your child, you may submit several ways:

  • Submit Request in ParentVUE (full day absences)
  • Send an email to the attendance secretary at [email protected].
  • Send a note with your child to deliver to the attendance office.

Please reference the regulation on absences for additional information.

For students that arrive late to school, please send them to school with a note to excuse their late arrival. The note can be written by a parent/guardian or a doctor/dentist note may be accepted. Parents do not need to come into the building for tardies as long as a note is provided. If a student arrives without a note, their tardy will be unexcused.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to call the school at 703-583-3200.
