Course Description:   
In Spanish III, students continue to develop proficiency in all four skill areas—listening, speaking, reading and writing.  They continue to work toward mastery of essential elements of grammar and the development of advanced vocabulary to be proficient in most situations.  They communicate using more complex structures on a variety of topics.  They comprehend the main idea of authentic materials they read and hear. Their ability to discuss historic and contemporary topics increases.  Students continue to develop an appreciation and awareness of other cultures and customs in their community and elsewhere.

Español para Hispanohablantes I,II,III

Las escuelas del Condado dePrince William ofrece varios cursos diseñados específicamente  para estudiantes de español de herencia,es decirestudiantes de hogares donde se habla español o estudiantes que han tenido una fuerte exposición al español en contextos informales. Estos cursos acomodan a estudiantes de una amplia gama de antecedentes, desde aquellos que son mínimamente funcionales (pueden comprender el español pero no pueden hablar con fluidez, leer o escribir) hasta aquellos que son más competentes y / o que saben leer y escribir en español. Los cursos se centran en el desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa en lectura, escritura, expresión oral y comprensión auditiva y visualización, así como en la comprensión de las culturas hispanas y los problemas de identidad de hablantes de herencias de español en los Estados Unidos. Los estudiantes también desarrollarán una conciencia y comprensión de las culturas hispanas, incluyendo la variación del idioma, las costumbres, la geografía, la historia y los eventos actuales.

We will be using Google Classroom this year. Google Classroom allows me to create and collect assignments paperlessly. Students can keep track of what's due on the Assignments page and begin working with a click. Students should login with your Forestparkhs.com Google Apps account.  To access Google Classroom, visit: http://classroom.google.com  (remember you have to use your Google Chrome Browser)
